Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Sobhani, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for close cooperation and noted that in recent years, cooperation between Armenia and Iran in all spheres has risen to a new level. The Prime Minister emphasized Mehdi Sobhani’s personal contribution to this matter. At the same time, Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the official visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian to Armenia last month, which gave a new impetus to the consistent development and expansion of bilateral relations.

Mehdi Sobhani also thanked the Prime Minister and the Government of the Republic of Armenia for the active and productive dialogue, emphasizing that during his activities he has invested all his efforts to strengthen bilateral ties. The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for being awarded the Order of Friendship and noted that he will continue to do everything in the future to deepen and strengthen Armenia-IRI relations.

The Prime Minister wished Ambassador Sobhani success in his future activities.
