Today, the regular Cabinet meeting was held, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

The Government adopted a decision, which is conditioned by the modernization of the public transport system, ensuring environmentally friendly and efficient passenger transportation. The purchase of 45 new trolleybuses will allow to improve the route frequency, overall coverage and quality of service. The adoption of the decision is expected to ensure more flexible route models, the development of a sustainable trolleybus energy system with cleaner and less polluting routes, reducing air pollution.

The adoption of the decision is also conditioned by the need to ensure the safety of residents of apartment buildings, taking into account that the operating life of the elevators currently subject to replacement has exceeded and, according to statistical data, dangerous incidents have also been recorded in recent years. The replacement of 104 old elevators will lead to a radical improvement in the level of operation and safety, will ensure high infrastructure accessibility for the elderly and disabled citizens.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister also touched upon the issue of turning the Hrazdan Gorge into a recreational zone, and was pleased to note that the master plan for the recreational zone already exists. According to Nikol Pashinyan, this program is one of the strategic goals, as it will contribute to solving the environmental, air, and microclimate problems that exist in Yerevan today.

The Executive adopted a decision to ensure the implementation of urgent projects requiring priority solutions in the Aragatsotn, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Shirak, Tavush and Vayots Dzor regions.

The Government approved the investment program for the development of the infrastructure of the Vagharshapat Stadium and Football Academy, presented by the "Imagine Yerevan" company. The decision is conditioned by the need to implement an investment program for the development of the infrastructure of the Vagharshapat Stadium and Football Academy on the territory of the community-owned land plot with a total area of 23.8 hectares located within the administrative boundaries of the city of Echmiadzin in the Vagharshapat community of the Armavir region of the Republic of Armenia and a land plot with an area of 5.5 hectares owned by the company.

The Government defines the new architecture of the strategic management system of the Government and state administration bodies and the procedures supporting it. Within the framework of public administration reforms, the Government is introducing a new strategic management system, which will transition from planning to strategic management. The goal is to improve the efficiency of the state system and the quality of reform implementation.

By decision of the Government, the permissible terms for the import of products imported into the territory of the Republic of Armenia and intended exclusively for circulation in the territory of the Republic of Armenia (without marking provided for by mandatory requirements, including a unified mark for the circulation of products on the market of the Eurasian Economic Union) will be reduced.
