Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos.

The Prime Minister welcomed Ms. Kos’s visit to Armenia and highly appreciated the active and ongoing Armenia-European Union dialogue. Nikol Pashinyan thanked the EU for its consistent support, emphasizing that it plays an important role in the implementation of the Armenian government’s ambitious reform agenda. He added that expanding cooperation in this direction is also enshrined in the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda.

Commissioner Marta Kos reaffirmed the EU’s strong support for the effective implementation of Armenia’s democratic reforms. She noted that the EU highly values the peace-building process in the region, which will contribute to the further development and deepening of cooperation.

The interlocutors discussed the priorities of the Armenia-EU partnership, upcoming tasks and opportunities for deepening cooperation. Reference was made to the programs implemented in Armenia with the support of the EU, ways to promote economic partnership, as well as the ongoing dialogue on visa liberalization.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the EU's support for Armenia's economic diversification, transport and infrastructure development, and the expansion of the capabilities of SMEs.

The parties expressed their willingness to continue close cooperation aimed at strengthening Armenia's democratic institutions, promoting economic growth, and maintaining peace and stability in the region.
