The Prime Minister receives Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov.

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit to Armenia and noted that the high-level political and cultural relations between the two countries should be the basis for the development and deepening of economic cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that more active work will be carried out in this direction as a result of Mr. Zafirov’s visit.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulated on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia. Atanas Zafirov emphasized the fact of centuries-old ties between the two countries and peoples and added that his country attaches importance to the expansion of trade and economic relations with the Republic of Armenia.

In this regard, the interlocutors noted the need to hold business forums and take steps aimed at promoting cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

They also exchanged views on Armenia-European Union cooperation, as well as other issues of regional importance. The Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8 and the establishment of peace.
