Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian.

On behalf of Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, the Archbishop presented Prime Minister Pashinyan with a book published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the enthronement of Aram I. The Archbishop also conveyed Catholicos Aram I’s warm greetings and blessings to Prime Minister Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the gift and noted that it is a great honor for him to receive it. Nikol Pashinyan also asked to convey his warm greetings and best wishes to Catholicos Aram I.

Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian noted that they also cooperate effectively with the administration of the Matenadaran and welcomed the fact that the Government of the Republic of Armenia donated to the Matenadaran the work of exceptional theological and manuscript value of Sargis Shnorhali’s “Commentary on Seven Catholic Epistles”. According to the Archbishop, such a step of the Government is also highly appreciated by His Holiness Aram I.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the activities of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, in the context of the events taking place in the Middle East, and on the situation related to the Armenian communities in Lebanon and Syria.
