The Prime Minister receives Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze.

The Prime Minister welcomed the latter’s visit to Armenia and participation in the “Academic City Armenia: International Forum of Knowledge” conference. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the consistent development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science and the humanitarian sphere, including close dialogue and exchange of experience in the implementation of reforms.

Givi Mikanadze noted that he is impressed by the “Academic City” project and noted that they have active cooperation with Armenian partners, various joint programs are being implemented, and new projects are also being developed. In particular, they relate to the provision of scholarships for students, the organization of educational camps, etc. The Minister presented the educational reforms being implemented in Georgia and possible areas of cooperation, particularly in the fields of higher education, scientific research programs and student mobility.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation in the above-mentioned areas and emphasized the interest of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in implementing new initiatives.
