Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the official dinner as part of the first Prayer Breakfast of the Republic of Armenia, which was attended by more than 300 high-ranking officials, statesmen, representatives of diplomatic, business and spiritual spheres from Armenia and abroad.
The Prime Minister delivered a speech and welcomed the participants of the evening, which was held in the format of the first Prayer Breakfast of the Republic of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan noted that after seven years as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, this is the first time he is attending an event in this format, where representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, Yezidi, Jewish, Armenian Catholic, Armenian Evangelical communities, Assyrian, Orthodox churches, Muslim and people of other faiths are present. In his speech, Nikol Pashinyan noted that religious tolerance has always been on the agenda, and this is one of those cases when policies, statements, and decisions must be translated into concrete human contacts. The Prime Minister also added that these contacts are very important in terms of getting to know the beliefs and religions of different religious communities and national minorities in Armenia.
Organized by Armenian civil society, the event aims to foster dialogue and cooperation based on Armenia’s historical, Christian identity, peace, moral leadership, and religious freedom. The long-term goal of the Prayer Breakfast is to shape a vision and position Armenia as a leading country in religious freedom and prosperity, with a society based on faith, partnership, innovation, and peace. With the Prayer Breakfast, the Republic of Armenia joins a global tradition that brings together leaders to reflect, pray, and find moral solutions to the challenges of our time.
