Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Khoren and Shooshanig Avedisian School-Educational Complex, located in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. The educational institution was founded by the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA) charitable non-governmental organization.

Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan, and representatives of the AMAA Armenia office, toured the school and got acquainted with the educational process and the created conditions.

It was noted that the educational complex includes a kindergarten and a school, which provides 12-year comprehensive and free education according to the state educational program, with availability of additional educational courses, such as artificial intelligence training and other modern courses. About 900 students study at the school.

The school operates in a newly built, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly complex consisting of 7 buildings, which has been awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) international certificate. The complex is equipped with solar panels, a rainwater recycling system, and green roofs. The school also has a modern greenhouse, where children have the opportunity to study smart agriculture.

Next, a discussion was held, during which the Prime Minister was presented with the project of building a similar educational complex planned by the organization in Vardenis in 2026. It was noted that it will be designed for 300 students. Taking into account the existence of a school construction project also planned by the Government in Vardenis, the Prime Minister proposed to combine state and private programs by building an educational institution for 600 students, which with its capacity will meet the current demand. The proposal was accepted by AMAA representatives. The Prime Minister instructed those responsible to continue discussions in the near future and develop a cooperation scheme.

At the same time, it was reported that in the coming years, the AMAA charitable non-governmental organization plans to build similar educational complexes in the Syunik, Shirak, and Lori regions.
