The regular session of Anti-Corruption Policy Council takes place

The Anti-Corruption Policy Council held a regular session under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The current legislative solutions in the field of party financing, the criteria and substantiation for targeted funding provided to parties, as well as clarifications of the supervisory functions and mechanisms for the transparency of the financial activities of parties were discussed.

Within the framework of the second item on the agenda, the performance assessment criteria and the progress recorded in the areas of anti-corruption policy, conflict of interest and declaration, whistleblower protection, business ethics, independence of the judiciary, independence of the prosecutorial system, anti-corruption bodies and investigation of corruption crimes were presented within the framework of the 5th round of the OECD evaluation of Armenia. A report was also presented on the work carried out towards the existing commitments within the framework of the 5th round of the GRECO evaluation of Armenia.

Regarding the reports, the council members presented their observations on the proposed solutions, exchanged ideas on the procedures for implementing the commitments.

Summing up, Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed to continue working on the issues raised in the reports and to present specific proposals at the next meeting.
