Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received World and two-time European weightlifting champion Nazik Avdalyan.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated Nazik Avdalyan’s personal contribution to representing Armenia in the best possible way in the international arena and contributing to the development of sports in our country. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the development of sports is one of the priorities of the Government and attached importance to cooperation with Nazik Avdalyan in this direction.

The World and two-time European Weightlifting Champion presented to the Prime Minister the programs of the “Nazik Avdalyan” Sports Development Foundation founded by her, noting that their goal is to establish sports schools in the regions and thus contribute to the development of professional sports.

The Prime Minister proposed to discuss the possibility of combining the above-mentioned program with the Government’s program to establish sports centers in enlarged communities.

In this context, an agreement was reached to continue discussions with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
