By the decision of the Government, pensions will increase from April 1. The decision proposes to set from April 1, 2026: 1. the minimum pension amount - 46,000 drams (instead of 36,000 drams), 2. the basic pension amount for calculating the labor pension amount - 34,000 drams (instead of 24,000 drams), 3. the basic pension amount for calculating the military pension amount - 21,000 drams (instead of 20,000 drams) 4. the value of one year of military service - 2,000 drams (instead of 1,750 drams), 5. the amounts of the military disability pension for a soldier of compulsory military service: a. for a person with a profound degree of functional limitation (group 1 disability): 64,600 drams (instead of 50,600 drams) b. for a person with a severe degree of functional limitation (group 2 disability): 54,800 drams (instead of 41,400 drams) c. for a person with a moderate degree of functional limitation (group 3 disability): 48,000 drams (instead of 38,000 drams) 6. In case of loss of the breadwinner of a family member of a deceased (killed) soldier in compulsory military service, the amount of the military pension is 48,000 drams (instead of 38,000 drams), and in case of a child under 18 who has lost both parents: 170,000 drams (instead of 120,000 drams).
It is also proposed to increase the amounts of benefits for old age, disability, and loss of a breadwinner, while maintaining the differentiation of benefit amounts in the case of disability benefits. In particular, it is proposed to set: 1. the amount of the old-age benefit at 46,000 drams (instead of 36,000 drams), 2. for a person with a profound degree of functional limitation (group 1 disability) at 49,000 drams (instead of 39,000 drams) 3. for a person with a severe degree of functional limitation (group 2 disability) at 47,500 drams (instead of 37,500 drams) 4. for a person with a moderate degree of functional limitation (group 3 disability) at 46,000 drams (instead of 36,000 drams) 5. for a person with the status of a “person recognized as a disabled child” at 49,000 drams (instead of 39,000 drams).
The amounts of benefits for old age, disability, and loss of a breadwinner will also increase. Since the increase in pension amounts will directly lead to an increase in the average monthly amount of back payments, which, according to forecasts, will increase the average monthly pension amount by an additional 8,692 drams, amounting to 67,873 drams in the case of a labor pension and 113,544 drams in the case of a military pension.
Referring to the decision, the Prime Minister noted: "On the occasion of this decision, I first want to thank all our citizens who work in Armenia, create results and pay taxes as prescribed by law, including foreign citizens who work in Armenia and pay taxes. I also want to highlight those people who issue cash registers. I also want to thank our pensioners, of whom more than 400,000 already use the opportunity to trade non-cash, because also through the cashless system of trade we reduce the shadow economy in the Republic of Armenia."
The government has made a decision due to the need to ensure the normal course of the major repairs and medium repairs of the roads leading to cluster schools.
In accordance with the instruction of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it is planned to carry out construction (repair, major repairs) of roads leading to schools connecting from the cluster centers in the regions of the Republic of Armenia. Based on the above, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia has instructed the regional administrations of the Republic of Armenia to organize, on the basis of Part 6 of Article 15 of the RA Law "On Procurement", the process of obtaining design and estimate documents for the construction (repair, major repairs) of roads leading to cluster schools, according to which contracts have been signed with the winning organizations in the staffs of the regional governors of Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Lori, Syunik, and the Tavush regions of Armenia.
