The Prime Minister receives newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Armenia Nikola Nikolov.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the post and expressed hope that during his tenure, Armenia-Bulgaria cooperation will continue to develop and expand. Nikol Pashinyan noted that bilateral relations have been dynamic in recent years, and there is a high-level political dialogue. At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Bulgaria’s support in strengthening Armenia-European Union cooperation.
Nikola Nikolov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that Armenia is one of Bulgaria’s important partners in the South Caucasus and his country attaches great importance to the consistent development of ties in various fields. The Ambassador stressed the need to develop trade and economic cooperation, give new impetus to cooperation in the fields of energy, tourism, and transport. At the same time, Nikola Nikolov expressed Bulgaria’s support for the “Crossroads of Peace” project of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The interlocutors then exchanged views on issues related to cooperation in the above-mentioned areas, as well as in the fields of education and culture. The issues related to the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and regional cooperation were also touched upon.
