Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a working discussion with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, during which the housing program in border settlements with the support of 16 million drams was discussed.
As noted by Nikol Pashinyan, the government will finance the construction of at least 1417 new houses under this program, in a number of border and non-border settlements.
Arsen Torosyan reported that it is intended for 3 groups of beneficiaries. The first group is about 400 beneficiaries who have not previously managed to use the program. The latter are citizens who meet all the criteria of the program and have received a building permit by May 1, 2025, and citizens who have acquired a land plot or registered the right to own a land plot from January 1, 2024 to May 1, 2025.
774 new quotas have also been established for settlements where less than 10 percent of the population has built houses. In this case, in addition to the main conditions of the program, it is envisaged that at least one of the spouses must have been registered in the given settlement in the last 12 months. According to the minister, this will contribute to ensuring balanced territorial development.
The 16 million dram program will also be reopened in those settlements where schools built or under construction under the 300 schools program have a problem with student enrollment, with vacant places exceeding 50%. It is planned to provide enough quotas to bring the enrollment to 20%. According to the minister, this is about 243 quotas. Arsen Torosyan informed that in addition to the main conditions of the program, the family must also have at least one child under the age of 10.
The Prime Minister listed the settlements where houses will be built.
It was emphasized that 2,319 families are included in the program in the first phase.
