The Prime Minister receives Head of IMF Mission in Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Alexander Timan, Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Armenia.

The Prime Minister highlighted the close cooperation established between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the IMF and the jointly implemented programs in our country, which contribute to the development of various sectors of the economy. In this regard, Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that the funds to be provided within the framework of the new program approved by the IMF for Armenia will contribute to the promotion of reforms by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Alexander Timan emphasized the effectiveness of cooperation with Armenia and noted that the IMF is ready to continue cooperation towards the effective implementation of the joint agenda.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to current cooperation and future programs. Reference was made to ensuring Armenia’s economic resilience, development rates, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
