Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Kazakh Foreign Minister Ermek Köşerbaev.

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Kazakh Foreign Minister to Armenia and emphasized the strategic nature of the partnership between the two countries. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the recent high-level bilateral visits have given a new impetus to the development of Armenia-Kazakhstan multilateral cooperation, and noted that the busy agenda of bilateral relations also testifies to this. At the same time, the Prime Minister added that the processes taking place in the region also have a positive impact on cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan, in particular, the railway communication established through Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia gives a new impetus to the expansion of trade and economic ties.

Ermek Köşerbaev first conveyed to the Prime Minister the warm greetings of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and noted that he had productive discussions with his Armenian counterparts on all issues of mutual interest. The Kazakh Foreign Minister expressed confidence that the established railway communication will significantly expand bilateral trade and economic ties. At the same time, Ermek Köşerbaev emphasized the importance of unblocking regional communication routes and emphasized Kazakhstan’s support for the TRIPP and the “Crossroads of Peace” projects of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is also interested in the implementation of the above-mentioned projects and the expansion of regional trade and economic ties.

Nikol Pashinyan and Ermek Köşerbaev discussed issues related to the development of cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, construction, agriculture, technologies, air transport and tourism. In this regard, the importance of direct flights between Armenia and Kazakhstan, which will be launched in the near future, was emphasized. The interlocutors also emphasized the upcoming visit of a delegation of Armenian businessmen to Kazakhstan, which will also give a new impetus to economic cooperation and the development of business ties.
