The Prime Minister attends foundation stone-laying ceremony of children's and youth sports complex after Arthur Abraham

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony of children's and youth sports complex after the world-famous boxer Arthur Abraham. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan, Arthur Abraham and others.

The sports complex is being built under the coordination of the Urban Development Committee in the Shengavit administrative district. After the presentation of the project, Prime Minister Pashinyan and Arthur Abraham signed a message addressed to the generations, which Arthur Abraham placed at the foundations of the sports complex with other athletes.

The sports complex will consist of 2 buildings: one underground and 3 above-ground floors. The first building will house general training gyms, boxing and wrestling gyms with locker rooms, saunas, doctor's and massage rooms, and administrative rooms. The second building will house a basketball hall.

The total cost of the project is 2.3 billion drams, which was allocated by the Government. The territory of the sports complex was acquired by the famous boxer many years ago.

The Prime Minister congratulated those present on the occasion of the laying of the foundation stone of the sports complex and expressed confidence that it will be put into operation within the specified time frame and with high quality. The Prime Minister added that the Simon Martirosyan Sports School is already operating, the foundation stone of the Roman and Malkhas Amoyans School in the village of Alagyaz will be laid in May, after which construction will begin. According to Nikol Pashinyan, this government policy is aimed at appreciating athletes who have achieved success in the international arena, developing sports in the country and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
