Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the consecration ceremony of the restored Kirants St. Trinity Church.
The St. Trinity Church in the village of Kirants, Tavush region, which was built in the fourth quarter of the 19th century, was restored by the Government's decision and funding.
During the Soviet years, it was used as a warehouse, it has reached our days in a very dilapidated and collapsed state, without a roof. In 2024, restoration works worth 21,400,501 drams were carried out.
The restoration of the missing sections of the structure before the eaves, the construction of the external retaining wall and floors, the plastering of the interior, the implementation of the ceiling woodwork and floors were mainly completed.
For 2025, restoration works worth 32,259,499 drams were carried out, and in early 2026, the restoration of the church was completed. Works on the construction of complex profiled stone frames, cornerstones, roofing, a new six-column rotunda, painting and finishing of the interior were carried out.
