The ceremony to sign the joint declaration and exchange documents was held based on the results of the state visit of President of France Emmanuel Macron to the Republic of Armenia.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron signed the joint declaration “On establishing strategic partnership between the French Republic and the Republic of Armenia.”

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Janna Andreasyan and Minister Delegate for European Affairs of the French Republic Benjamin Haddad exchanged the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the French Republic on the “French University Foundation in Armenia.”

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, and the Minister Delegate for European Affairs of the French Republic Benjamin Haddad exchanged a letter of intent “On cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the French Republic in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and semiconductors.”

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Alice Rufo exchanged a memorandum of understanding “On cooperation between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of France in the field of research, development and innovation of military technologies and defense systems.”

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Davit Khudatyan, and the International Director of the French enterprise “Razel-Bec SAS” Alain Besson and Chairman Laurent Fayat, the representative of the French enterprise “VINCI Construction Grand Projet” Jean-Philippe Salla and Director Philippe Tavernier exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding “On the Bargushat Tunnel Construction Project in the Republic of Armenia” between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia and the French joint venture “VINCI Construction Grand Projet” and “Razel-Bec SAS”.

The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Hovhannisyan, and the Deputy CEO of the French Development Agency Bertrand Walckenaer exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding “On the New Multi-Annual Program for Public Policy Lending in Armenia” between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the French Development Agency.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan and Executive Director of the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage Valéry Freland exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding “Between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage”.

Edmon Bardumyan, General Director of the National Mortgage Company Refinancing Credit Organization CJSC, and Bertrand Walckenaer, Deputy CEO of the French Development Agency, exchanged a memorandum on “Development of Affordable Housing in the Republic of Armenia” between the National Mortgage Company Refinancing Credit Organization CJSC and the French Development Agency.

Andrey Mkrtchyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameriabank, and Bertrand Walckenaer, Deputy CEO of the French Development Agency, exchanged a loan financing agreement between Ameriabank and the Company for the Promotion and Participation of Economic Cooperation, PROPARCO.

Evocabank General Director Karen Yeghiazaryan and French Development Agency Deputy Director General Bertrand Valkenayer exchanged the loan financing agreement between Evocabank and the Investment and Promotions company for Economic Cooperation, PROPARCO.

FlyOne Armenia CEO Aram Khachatryan and Sales Director at Airbus Charbel Youzkatli exchanged a sales agreement for two A-321-200 NX aircraft between FlyOne Armenia and Airbus.

Arayik Khzmalyan, Director of Matenadaran Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, the President of National Library of France, Gilles Pecou, and Deputy Director of the Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art Gurgen Gasparyan, exchanged a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of written and printed heritage between Matenadaran Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and the National Library of France, as well as a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of libraries between the Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art and the National Library of France.
