PM Pashinyan holds telephone conversation with António Costa

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with President of the European Council António Costa.

President Costa congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on the election results, noting that the people of Armenia have voted for a future built on peace, stability, and stronger cooperation with their neighbours and the wider world.

António Costa commended Prime Minister Pashinyan’s leadership and his contribution to strengthening Armenia’s resilience, stability, and prosperity. He emphasized that the European Union remains committed to deepening its partnership with Armenia, including through enhanced cooperation in energy, trade, digitalization.

Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked President Costa for his support and warm remarks, underscoring the importance of the continued development of Armenia–European Union relations.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on regional developments and the peace agenda, highlighting the importance of establishing lasting peace and stability in the region. They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Armenia–EU cooperation for the benefit of a more peaceful and prosperous future.
