The Prime Minister gets acquainted with the progress of the construction of the Park of Life

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Yerevan Botanical Garden, where he got acquainted with the progress of the construction of the "Park of Life". The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan and other officials.

During the tour, the Prime Minister was informed that the park is being built on an area of around 50 hectares. The walkway and bicycle path have already been built, and the cascading stairs are being repaired. The total area of the walkway is about 30 thousand sq.m. Bicycle paths with a total length of about 3.5 km are being built next to the walkways. It is planned to plant about 16 thousand trees and bushes, to build an artificial pond. A new 20 km irrigation system is being built, a pumping station is being built, which will enable to ensure the care of not only the "Park of Life" but also the vegetation of the entire park. The exterior lighting is also being updated. A new lighting network has been installed in all the walkways.

As part of the ongoing works, the 900-meter sidewalk adjacent to Tsarav Aghbyur Street was also thoroughly repaired. A parking lot for 280 cars at the main entrance is planned. A small parking lot for people with disabilities is also planned. The former main entrance is being renovated. 5 billion 26 million drams were allocated from the state budget for the construction of the Park of Life.

During the tour, some problems related to the construction works and the project were noted. The Prime Minister instructed the officials to pay special attention to the quality of construction works and make necessary corrections, including the design, and submit it for discussion in the near future.
