Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced newly appointed Secretary Alen Simonyan to the Security Council Staff.

The Prime Minister thanked Armen Grigoryan for his work as Secretary of the Security Council and noted that throughout this period he has been fully involved in the security-related agenda, including the peace-building process. “Mr. Grigoryan has made a very significant contribution to our achievements in that area, and that is very much appreciated.”

Nikol Pashinyan wished success to the newly appointed Secretary of the Security Council Alen Simonyan and noted: “Mr. Simonyan was also involved in making our important and strategic decisions in the previous period. I believe that, also being the President of the National Assembly, he has no shortage of working information and can immediately proceed to the effective activities of the Secretary of the Security Council.”

Armen Grigoryan thanked the team of the Security Council Office for the joint work, emphasizing that the latter has made a great contribution to the successful work of the Council. Armen Grigoryan also congratulated Alen Simonyan and wished him success.

Alen Simonyan, in turn, thanked the Prime Minister for the trust and Armen Grigoryan for the work done. Addressing the staff, Alen Simonyan noted: “I think we will be able to work together, also considering the fact that, as the Prime Minister said, I am aware of and have participated in the processes. I think you should help me enter the working process more deeply and I hope we will be able to work together.”

The Prime Minister wished those present success in their upcoming activities, while emphasizing the important work done in the previous period. “An equally large and important work must be done in the future. I think the first thing we need to do is, first of all, analyze the work of the previous period and determine the priorities that the Security Council Office and the Security Council Secretary should focus on in the near future. I have specific ideas about this. I have specific issues to propose to the Security Council Secretary and the Office. In the near future, we will have discussions on this topic, and I will give the necessary instructions.”
