A regular Cabinet meeting took place today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The Government adopted a decision necessitated by the need to improve program terms and provide budgetary guarantees covering the shortfall in required collateral, for loans obtained to carry out grape procurement in 2026 under the program subsidizing interest rates on loans for the procurement (purchase) of agricultural raw materials.

Accordingly, it is proposed to make relevant amendments to the program, specifically stipulating that in cases where economic entities have insufficient collateral for loans intended for grape procurement (purchases), the Government will provide a state guarantee of up to 50% from September 15 to december 30, but not exceeding the value of products exported during the previous year.

Commenting on the decision, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government is continuing to work consistently towards diversifying export markets.

A government decision ensures the execution of major and medium-scale repair works on roads leading to cluster schools. Accordingly, funds totaling approximately 1.098 billion drams will be reallocated to finance the major and medium repairs of these road sections, as well as the procurement of technical and author supervision services for the projects. The total length of the roads covered by the decision is 9.83 km, comprising 9.63 km of major repairs and 0.2 km of medium repairs. The works are scheduled for completion within the current year. The project involves roads leading to 14 schools.

The Government adopted a decision to provide financial support for the operation of the sports management information system and for the development, introduction, and maintenance of state administrative registers in the sports sector. The purpose of the decision is to establish a unified database for the sports sector, which can gradually evolve into an official sector registry and serve purposes such as statistics, policy development, evidence-based decision-making, funding processes, monitoring, and oversight. It will also enhance system efficiency while ensuring coordinated, transparent, and effective management that aligns with international standards. Adopting this decision will enable the creation of a centralized digital platform serving as a unified state tool for data collection and storage in the sports sector, thereby ensuring proper transparency and oversight.

As noted by Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, the Government will allocate 20.4 million drams for this purpose.
