The regular Cabinet meeting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

By the decision of the government, it is proposed to allocate in 2026 1 billion 153 million drams from the budget to the regional administrations for the purpose of implementing subsidy programs in order to fulfill financial obligations to relevant construction organizations.

As noted by the Minister of Territotial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, it is proposed to co-finance 23 subsidy programs in 13 communities with the following distribution of regions. 1 in Ararat region, 8 in Armavir region, 2 in Gegharkunik region, 3 in Lori region, 1 in Kotayk region, 1 in Syunik region, 7 in Tavush region. "With this co-financing, we will have a total of 13 billion 165 million AMD co-financed projects from the state budget in 2026," the minister noted.

Nikol Pashinyan listed the programs implemented under the subsidy.

The government has allocated 8.9 billion drams to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure for road repairs. As Minister Davit Khudatyan noted, the total length of the roads is 176.1 km: "Of the total volume, 113.2 km are interstate highways, 33.6 km are roads of republican significance, and 29.3 km are roads of regional significance."

Nikol Pashinyan listed the roads to be repaired under the decision. Addressing the quality of the construction work, Pashinyan emphasized: "Our main focus is quality, because alongside road construction, we must see a continuous and sustained improvement in quality. I know that the Ministry has been working in this direction. We are acquiring the appropriate equipment to ensure we have the proper quality control capabilities."

In response, Davit Khudatyan noted that equipment worth 230 million drams has been acquired this year to enhance the laboratory's capabilities.

An additional 500 million drams will be allocated for the implementation of state support programs aimed at ensuring housing for families with children. The decision was made in light of the unprecedented rise in the number of applicants for these programs, as well as projections based on actual figures recorded as of August 28, 2026. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan presented the program's overall statistics, noting that 17,609 beneficiaries have received support since its inception. According to the Minister, 13.2 billion drams in support has been provided for having children, as well as for purchasing or building homes in regional settlements. In 2026, compensation was provided to 2,425 beneficiaries under the program.

Arsen Torosyan noted that the program was adopted in May 2020, and it is scheduled to conclude at the end of this year. "However, seeing the impact this program has on families, we are already circulating a new program and will soon submit it to the Government for consideration. It is based on the logic of the current program but incorporates certain changes identified through the program's monitoring process. This is a crucial program for addressing demographic challenges," the minister said.
