A meeting took place between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, on the sidelines of the Leaders' Summit on Biodiversity held in Yerevan.

The Prime Minister thanked the President of Iran for accepting the invitation and participating in the summit. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the intensive nature of high-level bilateral meetings, adding that this reflects the desire and commitment of both sides toward the consistent development of Armenia-Iran relations.

Masoud Pezeshkian also expressed his gratitude for the invitation and the warm hospitality, emphasizing the importance of deepening and expanding multifaceted ties with Armenia. The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenia-Iran cooperation agenda and the progress in implementing the agreements reached. They exchanged views on topics concerning the advancement of joint projects.

Nikol Pashinyan and Masoud Pezeshkian also touched upon other issues of mutual interest.
