Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the "MaskOFF" panel discussion organized by the Restart Foundation.

The Prime Minister welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude for the invitation. In his remarks, Nikol Pashinyan noted that, from his perspective, the most significant challenge he must address for the youth is the signing and ratification of a peace agreement. "I must hand over the Republic of Armenia to the youth, with its internationally recognized territories and open borders. In my view, this is the starting point for resolving the fundamental issues. This, along with the subsequent actions that will follow, will determine the realization of the agenda you mentioned. Especially now, considering that we are deepening our relations with the European Union, and I hope we will have secured a decision on visa liberalization with the EU by 2029, the "Academic City" project will become irreversible. A peaceful country with open borders. Do you know what this implies, in my view? It means that, in such a setting, young people face no limitations in realizing any of their ambitions, goals, or projects''.

Continuing, the Prime Minister emphasized: "Of course, economic stability and energy independence are also crucial components for completing the picture I have described, and I am currently focused on addressing these issues. First is peace, the institutionalization of peace. As for how confident I am that this objective can be achieved—well, as is customary to say, no one can offer 100% certainty. However, I believe that while the task is quite complex, a solution is realistic. A significant factor within this complexity is the need for a roadmap, a political discourse, and an ideology that will prove convincing to the public at large, and to the youth in particular. Therefore, from this perspective, and for the sake of achieving this goal, engaging with the youth is absolutely essential and important''.

In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister noted: "Education is the most crucial factor for perceiving and assessing reality, devising solutions, and seeing those solutions through to completion. This is why the Government has declared education the 'strategy of strategies.' Whenever we find ourselves unable to resolve a problem, whether at the individual, group, or state level, we must return to the task of education, again at the individual, group, public, and state levels. In short, this is our vision for the future and for the work that lies ahead.

This, in general, is our vision for the future and for the tasks ahead. Furthermore, as I mentioned, it is our objective to pass on the state, the Republic of Armenia, to the next generation as a peaceful, secure, developing, and prosperous nation; one with clearly delimited and demarcated borders, and with open borders. This is where the vision of the state’s perpetuity arises—the idea that the process of passing the state from one generation to the next must continue indefinitely. Armenia, as a state, must exist in perpetuity. This is the overarching agenda that, in my view, we all must serve''.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Pashinyan answered numerous questions from young participants in the panel discussion. These questions covered a range of topics, including Armenia’s foreign and domestic policy, the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan, the border delimitation process, steps being taken toward the signing and ratification of a peace treaty, the normalization of Armenia-Türkiye relations, and future expectations in this regard.

During the Q&A session, the Prime Minister also addressed relations with the CSTO, cooperation between Armenia and the EU and its further development, measures being taken toward visa liberalization, the ideology of "Real Armenia" and its underlying principles, programs implemented by the Government of Armenia to foster balanced territorial development, and various other subjects.
