Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today attended the closing ceremony of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games in Yerevan’s Liberty Square.

Nikol Pashinyan made a speech, in which he stated:
“Dear participants of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games, I welcome you all.

Honorable National Assembly President,
Dear members of government,
Government officials,
Dear members of the Executive Board of the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games,
Dear participants of the Pan-Armenian Games,
Dear Compatriots,

This is the closing of the 7th Pan-Armenian Games, which brought great joy to all of us for over the last 14 days.

Again and again, I would like to emphasize that we have enjoyed the supreme pleasure of being together these days, because we can state that we are one nation, one people, and united, no matter what part of the world we live in. And here’s the closing ceremony to symbolize that there is one capital for all Armenians in the world, for every Armenian, and that capital is Yerevan.

I would like to congratulate all prize-winners in the Pan-Armenian Games. I would also like to congratulate all the athletes participating in the Pan-Armenian Games because they have given great value, great power and great content to the Pan-Armenian Games.

I would like to congratulate all the organizers of the 7th Pan-Armenian Games, all the participants and organizers of the opening and closing ceremonies.

I would like to congratulate our compatriots who have made new friends, new acquaintances, new friends during this Pan-Armenian Games. I hope that the ties you have achieved will be preserved and that you will never lose each other in Artsakh and Armenia.

Dear Compatriots,

The Pan-Armenian Games have for a while now been a highlight on the sports agenda of Armenia and Armenians, on the agenda of the public life of the Armenian people, on the agenda of Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora relations. This is the most important platform where we really feel as one whole, regardless of our political affiliations and views.

I am convinced that the 8th Pan-Armenian Games will boast an even greater number of participants, a higher level of sporting spirit, and our athletes will have greater achievements.

And therefore:
Long live the Pan-Armenian Games,
Long live the Participants in the Pan-Armenian Games,
Long live the Armenian nation!

I declare the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games closed.”
