Congratulatory Message by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Artsakh Revival Day
I cordially congratulate all of us on this historic Artsakh Revival Day. This day in 1988, the Regional Council of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region adopted a decision to become part of Armenia, which was supported not only by the people of Armenia, but also by all Armenians worldwide.
The landmark event of February 20, 1988 gave rise to a nationwide movement, which came as another evidence of our people’s ability to mobilize at crucial moments and act decisively to achieve national goals.
The exercise of peoples’ right to self-determination and democratic freedoms remain a clear target for us today as much as in 1988. And we are confident that we can achieve our objectives through joint efforts, since we are committed to our struggle and the aspirations that will make irreversible Artsakh’s long journey to freedom.
Long live Artsakh!
Long live all Armenians!
