10.09.2025

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Republic of France Sébastien Lecornu on his appointment to the post. The message reads:

“Your Excellency, dear friend,

I warmly congratulate you on your appointment to the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of France and wish you success in fulfilling your high mission. I am confident that your political path behind and experience will serve the interests of friendly France and the French people.

I am convinced that our governments will continue close cooperation for the benefit of the centuries-old strong friendship of the Armenian and French peoples and the implementation of ambitious new programs between our states.

I highly appreciate your friendly attitude towards issues related to Armenia and your dedication and direct efforts for the development of close cooperation between Armenia and France, in particular in the field of defense. I warmly recall our meeting and fruitful discussions in a friendly atmosphere during your visit to Armenia in 2024, led by a representative delegation.

I express my firm commitment to continue, through joint efforts, the steps aimed at developing strategic cooperation between Armenia and France, including in the economic, infrastructure, defense, cultural and other key areas.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to emphasize that we attach great importance to France’s consistent efforts aimed at the peace agenda in our region, as well as the establishment of a qualitatively new level of Armenia-EU relations.

I cordially invite you to visit Armenia, which will allow us to outline new initiatives aimed at raising the quality of comprehensive cooperation between our countries in a number of areas to a new level.

I congratulate you once again on assuming the position of Prime Minister, wishing you every success in all your initiatives."
