The Executive adopted a decision "On recognition of overriding public interest over some areas located in Kapan, Syunik region, Republic of Armenia". Recognizing overriding public interest in the property will make it possible to create a sports complex meeting international standards, including a football stadium with appropriate infrastructure in the regional center of Syunik, which is strategically important for the balanced development of territories. Nikol Pashinyan also noted that 3 stadiums in accordance with international standards should be built in Armenia by 2029. They will also serve to host the 2029 World Youth Football Championship, if FIFA approves the joint bid of Armenia and Georgia to host the championship. Armenia and Georgia will submit a joint bid to FIFA to host the 2029 FIFA World Youth Championship.
The government adopted a decision, by which the building of the Armenian Society for Cultural Relations, located in Yerevan, Abovyan St. 3 and having an area of 651.6 sq.m, will be rented through a competition. "I think the building of the Armenian Society for Cultural Relations returned to the state through legal procedures is currently the most visible and prominent building, and we must do everything to manage this property efficiently."
The Prime Minister noted that the only restriction on renting the property is that the cultural content of the building should not be damaged. And in the future, the projects of repair and finishing works planned there should be approved and the planned works should be supervised by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport. The Prime Minister reminded that a public tender will be announced, in which all entities meeting the established criteria can participate. 10 years is the main term of the rent contract and it has the right to be extended by 10 years with the right of preference.
