A discussion was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the effective management of seized assets.

Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan referred to the existing structures, international commitments, presented details on the studied international experience and proposed actions. In particular, it was proposed to establish an asset recovery office within the framework of Armenia-EU visa liberalization and compliance with the requirements of the EU directive, ensure public accountability, create a registry of frozen and confiscated property, etc.

A discussion was held on the development of mechanisms for the effective management of seized assets, and the heads of interested departments made observations and suggestions.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of targeted management of seized assets and instructed to carry out work to strengthen its legal and institutional framework.
