A consultation was held in the Government headed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which steps to reform the real estate registration institute were discussed.

Head of the Cadastre Committee Suren Tovmasyan noted that extensive work has been carried out by the committee to reform the institute of real estate registration, registration of rights and restrictions. Accordingly, reports were made on the current legislative regulations on the protection and guarantee of rights, the risks of the current procedures for transferring ownership rights based on the alienation of registered property. Reference was made to the current procedure for registering unregistered property. The experience of different countries on regulations in the sector was also presented. Suren Tovmasyan emphasized that the goal of the reforms is to simplify administration and strengthen the protection of property rights. In this context, proposals were presented to implement the above-mentioned goals.

Prime Minister Pashinyan attached importance to the programs aimed at reforming the sector, emphasizing that the most effective approach to institutional reforms is to start with small steps. In this context, the Head of Government gave relevant instructions to those responsible.
